How do I rate a movie?
First, make sure you are logged into the site. There are two ways you can rate a movie: You can search for the movie and rate it right on the search results page, using the slider that appears when you click "Rate Movie". Or, you can click on the movie's title once you've found it, which will take you to that movie's page, and you can rate it there.

How do I review a movie?
First, make sure you are logged in. On each movie's page, below the information about the movie, there is a link that says "Write a review".

How do I make buddies?
Go to a user's page, and click on "Make Buddy." You can always check out our random users on the Users page to find new buddies.

How do I write a blog?
Once you've logged in, click on the "My Page" link on the menu bar. Below the "My Blogs" section, there is a link that says "Write a Blog". Once you've written at least one blog, they will show up on your page with the option to write new ones.

How does "my network's rating" work?
First, you have to make buddies. You can rate how much you trust your buddies' ratings; for example, if Buddy A always rates movies you like as well, then you'd probably rate him a 10. If you only like some of Buddy B's ratings, then you might rate him a 5 or a 6. So the network rating will give more weight to Buddy A's ratings than Buddy B's. It will also take into account your buddies' buddies, but will weight them lower than your original, 1st tier buddies.

How does the system know what movies to recommend?
The system takes into account what types of movies you have rated already, and what genres you seem to like. It also takes into account your buddies’ ratings, as well as any groups you belong to.

Help! I rated the wrong movie – how do I remove the rating?
There are three ways to un-rate a movie. First, on your own page, in the box that has your ratings, there should be an X inside a box next to each rating. This icon also appears on the page of each movie that you have rated, as well as on the search page by movies you have rated. Click the X, and that rating will be taken off.

I can't find the movie I'm looking for. How can I add it?
On the search page, below the search box, there’s a link to add a movie. Click that, and submit as much info as you have on that movie. That will submit the movie to the site’s administrators, who will add it.

I don't like movies of [X] genre. How do I tell it to stop recommending them?
On "My Page," select the "Edit" tab. Then select "Recommendation Filters," which will open a list of genres. The genres that you select are the ones you do NOT want to have recommended to you. Make sure to click save when you’re done.

How can I become a top user?
Top users are ranked using our points system. You get points by doing things on our site: rating or reviewing movies, writing blogs, submitting news, making buddies… pretty much anything you can do will earn you points. Top users are displayed on the Users page.

How can I become a featured user?
Featured users are selected by the administrators, based on site usage. Featured users are chosen every month (or at administrators' discretion) and are displayed on the Users page. Users with cool news articles, blogs, or reviews, are more likely to be chosen.

How can I make a new group?
On the Groups page, there is an option to create a new group. Groups with profane or offensive names will be removed at the administrators' discretion.

How do I join an existing group?
Once you find a group you want to join, click on the group's name to be taken to its individual page. On the left, there should be a button that says "Join Group." If the group is private, you will have to get the password from a group member first.

How do I start a new forum?
New forums can only be started by administrators, so if you want to start a new one, use the "Tell Us" button on the bottom of any page to send us a request. If you simply want to start a new thread, go to the Forums page, and click on the category you would like to add a thread to. On the top right, there's an option to start a new thread.

How do I submit news?
There are two ways to submit news. On the Home page, above the box with news in it, there's a small link that says "Submit News." This link can also be found on the News page, below the Search box.

I have a suggestion to make this site better. How do I submit it?
On the bottom of every page, there is a link that says "Tell Us." Use this to send us an email, and we promise to read and consider any legitimate suggestions.

How do I personalize My Page?
Find the Edit tab on the central tabbed box. Here you can edit your personal information, your color scheme, what tab is displayed initially on your page, your user image, and your genre preferences.
